The Cork Collective

Sustainability Partnership

EastPark is working with the Cork Collective to create partnerships with the hospitality industry to collect corks and the tech, fashion, building, and construction industries to use recycled cork as an alternative to plastic and other materials. Cork oak forests remove enormous amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Each wine cork sequesters more carbon than it emits during production, and by repurposing used cork stoppers into materials for public use like playgrounds, we keep that carbon sequestered for decades.
